Overview

St. Edmund’s & St. Thomas’ Catholic Primary School is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to submit proposals for the delivery of wraparound provision, comprising on-site breakfast and after‑school care for pupils from Nursery to Year 6.    

The school is seeking to establish a high‑quality, inclusive and sustainable wraparound  offer that responds to the needs of working families, supports pupil wellbeing, and is embedded within the life of the school. Provision must operate safely and reliably outside the core school day, with clear safeguarding, staffing and operational arrangements in
place.

Scope of Services

The appointed provider will be expected to manage all aspects of delivery, including staffing, training, safeguarding compliance, daily operations and financial administration.  

The successful provider will be expected to deliver:  

  • Breakfast provision (from approximately 7:30am until the start of the school day at 8:45am)
  • After-school provision (from the end of the school day at 3:15pm until 6:00pm)
  • Provision accessible to all pupils from Nursery to Yr 6, including pupils with SEND
  • Provision on the school site using agreed accommodation Full responsibility for staffing, safeguarding, training, daily operations, and financial administration

Our Commitment to Compliance

The procurement process and contract award will comply with the Procurement Act 2023 and the Procurement Regulations 2024.  All bidders must adhere to the Department for Education (DfE) procurement guidance.

Safeguarding and Quality Assurance

All associated staff, must undergo background screening and safeguarding checks in accordance with the Department for Education’s ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ standards.

Bidders must demonstrate robust safeguarding policies and procedures and be able to demonstrate effective training for all staff.
