Trust Head of Teaching and Learning and Foundational Literacy

 

 About the role

In order to meet the needs of our secondary schools we are looking to appoint a Head of Teaching and Learning and Foundational Literacy. The current secondary schools in the Trust have started working together more closely and are committed to adopting common approaches to quality assurance, teaching and learning and coaching. 

We are of the firm belief that the long term development of pedagogy within a positive and supportive culture of coaching will lead to be best outcomes for our pupils. We want to appoint an experienced and successful senior leader who led the transformation of teaching and learning in their school and is ready to take their professional learning from this experience across a number of schools within our Trust family.

The Trust Lead for Teaching and Learning will drive high quality pedagogy across the Trust by:

  • Leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of teaching and learning strategies
  • Supporting school leaders to raise classroom standards
  • Building a culture of continuous professional development
  • Ensuring consistency of high quality practice across all Trust schools
  • Ensuring a Trust wide and consistent focus on foundational literacy across all key stages
  • Be highly skilled in CPD design, delivery and staff coaching
  • Share and model our core values in every interaction

Salary & Benefits

Required from: 1st September 2026

Pay Scale: L18-L23 Starting point according to experience.
